In his manuscript Strange Stone, Maester Theron suggests that the religion of the Drowned God originates from the undersea fathers of the Deep Ones. Early Christianity’s Church Fathers pointed out that the First Commandment injunction, “thou shalt have no other gods before me”, reserved all worship for one God, and that prayers therefore might not be offered to the dead, even though Judaism, Christianity, and Islam did encourage prayers for the dead. Over the centuries, many philosophers have presented criticisms against Anselm’s ontological argument, from Gaunilo to Descartes and Locke to Lotze. For generations, people have wondered how to pray. Many people try to set aside a regular time of the day to pray. There are many examples of people in the Bible sharing their problems with God and seeking His help. Here are a few examples that show how to talk to God about your problems in different ways.

Have no fear. God knows we are learning to talk with Him. The Bible reveals that God wants us to talk with Him and have a personal relationship with Him. This is so much the case that the Bible never tries to argue for or prove God’s existence; rather, Scripture simply proclaims it and judges any who reject this plain fact as fools. Many mistakenly refer to this section of Scripture as “the Lord’s Prayer,” but close examination will show Jesus was not praying when He gave the answer to the request from one of His disciples. Jesus instructed His followers to go into a room and shut the door to enjoy privacy in communication with God-our communication is not for show, after all (Matthew 6:6). Make sure all distractions like radios or televisions are turned off. The obvious answer is the Bible, in which God reveals himself fully to his followers. The book of Psalms records many of these heartfelt prayers. He imagined that God kept a book containing proofs of all the theorems in mathematics. Jesus’ death paid our debt in full and there is but to admit our sin before God and believe that Jesus lived and died as payment for our sins, and we will see God in Heaven beyond this life.

When we decide to talk with God, we should find a quiet spot. So let’s look at how to talk to God through prayer. God is interested in your attitude when you talk with Him. Communication with God is called prayer. But, when we dedicate time for prayer in the quiet of our homes, the humble, respectful posture of kneeling is most appropriate for those who are able. Making prayer part of our daily schedule can help us fulfill our commitment.
