God inhabits the praises of His people. He created the world to put his glory on display that his people might know him, and love him, and show him. So what do studies on this issue show? When the extremist group widely known as Isis (now renamed Islamic State) declared a Caliphate taking in parts of Syria and Iraq, they reignited a debate over the issue. The thoughts issue from the heart; for the heart, as commonly in the Hebrew Scriptures, is regarded as the seat of the intellect, not of feeling only. BBC Asian Network reporter Catrin Nye gathered young British Muslims from different sects of Islam to hear about their views on the concept of a Caliphate and what it means to them. The new podcast from Serial Productions is a careful, moving investigation of a British scandal. In many Muslim cities, forbidden food and drinks are freely available and openly consumed, to the scandal of the believers, while the cinema and the television screen bring indecency and immorality into both the public place and the private home. While no one, apart from a few Marxists and they at peril of their lives, has openly challenged Muslim beliefs, there has been a growing laxness among educated classes, particularly those who have received some measure of Western or Westernized education.

In most states, religious institutions are exempt from shutdowns, and leaders have struggled with whether to close their doors. In the modern age, a Westernized elite and an un-Westernized populace live in different worlds, and the loyalties that once held them together have been broken or discredited.

In “Extraordinary Realities,” the artist uses a once suppressed form to interrogate the modern world. When you give merits to gods, always wish to increase their: lifetime, complexion, luxury, power and wisdom. His emphasis on serving the marginalized and disadvantaged resonates across religious boundaries, inspiring others to follow suit. Smart championed the thesis that there are genuine differences between religious traditions. We are facing many challenges. Three of these words are spelled incorrectly. During the reigns of the third and fourth caliphs, disagreements broke out among the Muslim leaders, resulting in civil war and the emergence of the Shiite Muslim sect as distinct from the Sunni sect. The third season of Ramy Youssef’s comedy series on Hulu can feel like an open-air therapy session. The Bharatiya Janata Party’s top leaders-the Prime Minister included-seem to excel at creating conditions in which violence can unfold. In these, the sectarian difference is unimportant; Khomeini can be seen not as a Shi’ite or a Persian but as an Islamic revolutionary leader. Toleration between religious communities was seen as paramount to any consideration of free expres­sion. One of these themes might be called religious in the narrower, Western sense of the word-that is to say, relating to belief, ritual, and observance. However, the smallest minorities, consisting of small Shia, Druze and Baháʼí Faith contingents, experience some degree of religious discrimination from the government.
