Since this Protestant group instituted and controlled the system of public education in the Philippines during the American colonial period, it exerted a strong influence. What we learn from such biblical stories is that God will produce goods from one’s suffering for the one suffering-goods which would otherwise have not been produced. Perhaps this is due to the large vacuum that existed during the first decade of independence (beginning in late 1991) when Azerbaijanis were asking themselves: What can we believe in now?
