In the Mass of the Roman Rite and also in the Eucharist of the Anglican Communion, the Lutheran Church, and the Western Rite of the Eastern Orthodox Church the Agnus Dei is the invocation to the Lamb of God sung or recited during the fraction of the Host. Another great verse about God’s love is found in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” In this verse and in John 3:16, we find no conditions placed on God’s love for us. His love for us has always existed, and because of that, He did all the giving and sacrificing long before we were even aware that we needed His love. The thing is, if anyone else had pulled a volte face like that, I’d have had no hesitation in calling him a two-faced wuss who lacked the courage of his convictions and was only too happy to sell intellectual freedom down the river in pursuit of votes.
He created us to have a loving relationship with Him, and He sacrificed His own Son (who also willingly died for us) to restore that relationship. However, what God gave (or should we say, “who” God gave) was not a mere gift-wrapped present; God sacrificed His only Son so that we, who put our faith in His Son, will not spend eternity separated from Him. Islam prefers impartialityThese days the so-called Muslims attack the faith and belief of the people belonging to religions other than the Islam. Its most simple definition is the belief in the six articles of faith, known as arkān al-īmān. This is similar to God’s love for us, but as we shall see, God’s love transcends the human definition of love to a point that is hard for us to comprehend. We don’t have to go very far to find a working definition of the term “land” for our discussion.
Find out through this Thanksgiving History video. God doesn’t say, “as soon as you clean up your act, I’ll love you; ” nor does He say, “I’ll sacrifice my Son if you promise to love Me.” In fact, in Romans 5:8, we find just the opposite. We love based on feelings and emotions that can change from one moment to the next. You can’t change the world around you until you change your world. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions, yet now he has brought you back as his friends. When Menelik grows up, he goes back to Jerusalem to meet his famous father. We continue to love our children through good times and bad, and we don’t stop loving them if they don’t meet the expectations we may have for them. It’s good every once in a while. How many times have you heard or said, “I love you because you are cute;” or “I love you because you take good care of me;” or “I love you because you are fun to be with”? Let us march on ballot boxes until the salient misdeeds of bloodthirsty mobs (Yes, sir) will be transformed into the calculated good deeds of orderly citizens.
I argue that Islamism can be used to bridge salient ethnic, linguistic, and regional cleavages in a society but that we rarely analyze Islamist movements in these terms, and we lack sufficiently developed theory to know what conditions make it likely that Islamist movements will successfully bridge such divides. Do you know the godly history of the Pilgrims? This Pilgrims Video will help. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, “Jesus is Lord,” you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. It seems the love that parents have for their children is as close to unconditional love as we can get without the help of God’s love in our lives. We didn’t have to get clean, and we didn’t have to make any promises to God before we could experience His love.
