Sunni Authority’s Legitimate Plurality

All the prophets are Muslims and have called people to Islam. Sunni Muslims tend to accept that the door to ijtihad (independent judgment) is now closed, and we must seek resolution of any theoretical and practical difficulties by referring to a series of canonical texts and to the consensus of the community. A large influx of Han Chinese began in the 1660s with the transition of imperial power from the Ming dynasty to the Manchurian Qing dynasty. Religion in Taiwan is characterised by a diversity of religious beliefs and practices, predominantly those pertaining to the continued preservation of the ancient Chinese culture and religion.

Prior to the 17th century, the island of Taiwan was inhabited by the Taiwanese aborigines of Austronesian stock, and there were small settlements of Chinese and Japanese maritime traders and pirates. Taiwanese aborigines traditionally practised an animistic ethnic religion. Owls in many ethnic tribes are seen as evil; thus, tribe elders advise members never to answer late-night calls. Although Islam is a monotheistic religion, many ethnic tribes in the Gambia are practitioners of animism and have faith in other gods. Averaging almost one religious building (temple, church, etc.) for every square kilometer, Taiwan is considered to have the highest density of religious buildings, making it the “most religious” region in the area where Chinese is the majority language. If only we could devote such time and dedication to building housing and feeding people in real life. Furthermore, though less common than it used to be, many insurance contracts claim not to provide coverage/indemnification for acts of God. Furthermore, if God’s knowledge of a fact consists in the presence of that fact to God’s consciousness, it may be that this presence does not affect God intrinsically.
